Job Description

Built to set the gold standard for integrated AI infrastructure

Crux AI is a newly formed, U.S.-based integrated AI infrastructure company created to remove the physical and operational constraints on consequential AI ambitions. Crux brings together power, high-density data centers, TPU silicon, networking, orchestration software, and ongoing operations as one integrated system.

Crux is being capitalized to plan every layer together, develop each one to demanding standards, and operate the whole system with efficiency and reliability. That gives hyperscalers, frontier AI labs, sovereign customers, enterprises, and AI-native companies greater freedom to pursue the AI they are here to create.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The FP&A Analyst reports to the VP, Financial Planning & Analysis and supports the Finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis across the organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn how a capital-intensive, fast-growing infrastructure business operates and to build core FP&A skills from the ground floor of a newly formed company. You will support recurring financial processes, build and maintain models, and contribute to reporting that informs executive decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their FP&A career who wants broad exposure across corporate finance - including the capital planning that sits at the center of this business.

In this role, you will:

  • Forecasting & Budgeting Support - Support the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes by gathering inputs from business partners, maintaining templates, and ensuring timely and accurate submissions

  • Financial Analysis - Perform variance analysis comparing actuals to budget and forecast; identify key drivers and prepare clear explanations for leadership review

  • Reporting - Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, executive summaries, and ad-hoc analyses; ensure data accuracy and consistency across deliverables

  • Data Management - Help build and maintain the company's planning platform from the ground up, including data entry, validation, and troubleshooting; support data integrity and process improvements as the FP&A tech stack is stood up

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work with teams across the organization — including data center operations, energy, and engineering — to gather information, reconcile data, and ensure Finance assumptions reflect the latest business inputs

  • Process Improvement - Identify opportunities to streamline recurring tasks and improve reporting efficiency; contribute to building scalable FP&A processes as the function is established

SIGNALS OF SUCCESS

After 60 days in this role:

  • Ramped on Crux's business model, capital structure, and current forecasting/reporting cadence

  • Taken ownership of at least one recurring reporting or reconciliation process

  • Established working relationships with core cross-functional partners in Finance and the broader business

After 6 months:

  • Running point on variance analysis and reporting packages with minimal oversight

  • Contributing meaningfully to the build-out of the planning platform and supporting infrastructure

  • Trusted to independently gather and validate inputs from business partners for the forecast cycle

After 1 year:

  • A go-to resource on the FP&A team for a defined area of the business

  • Actively identifying and driving process improvements rather than just executing them

  • Positioned to take on greater scope as the Finance organization scales alongside the business

EXPERIENCES, ATTRIBUTES AND MINDSET THAT INDICATE A GOOD MATCH

Experiences

  • 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, investment banking, consulting, or a related analytical role

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling, formulas, and data manipulation; experience with pivot tables, lookups, and building clean, auditable workbooks

  • Bonus points for experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive, Hyperion), BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), or ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)

  • Bonus points for industry experience in technology, data center infrastructure, cloud, or energy

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a similar field

Attributes

  • Analytically curious, with the ability to work with large datasets, identify trends, and translate numbers into meaningful insights

  • High accuracy and thoroughness in work product; takes pride in getting the details right

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance audiences

  • Collaborative approach with a willingness to pitch in where needed; receptive to feedback and eager to learn

Mindset

  • You want to build, not just maintain — this is a ground-floor seat in a newly formed company, and the systems and processes you're supporting are still being defined

  • You have a high tolerance for ambiguity and are comfortable operating without a fully mature playbook

  • You're growth-oriented and want to develop broad FP&A expertise inside a fast-paced, capital-intensive business

Nice to have (Preferred, not required):

  • Experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive, Hyperion) or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

  • Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)

  • Industry experience in technology, data center infrastructure, cloud, or energy
